Park # 257 Fort Scott NHS Fort Scott Kansas

We made about 140 miles or so up some nice new roads over to Fort Scott, my 257th park out of 401.   Fort Scott was an old outpost in Indian Territory-  they have nicely redone several buildings here-  your standard army post rehab from the time period

The Visitor's Center- upstairs, there is a reproduction of an old field hospital

Only one stamp here.  Also got a hiking medallion  

The downtown of Fort Scott still has an old time appearance, with lots of adaptive re-use of many buildings.
