New Pin Addition- Juan Bautista de Anza NST

I was able to get a De Anza Trial pin sent in the mail-  I've been to I think 7 locations for the trail in Arizona, and a couple in California-  Plan on getting to about another 6-7 locations in California on the June trip with Cooper.  

Multiple stops- Potomac Heritage National Scenic Trail - South Western Pennsylvania

Did several stops today on the Potomac Heritage Scenic Trail- 

First up was two stops at the Ohiopyle State Park in Ohiopyle, Pa.  There was an office for the park, and something called the Train Station Visitor Center. 

Actually went to a wrong address here, since the Data Base had a bad address-

They had most of the stamps they were supposed to, but were missing some too.  I'll send in updates. 

Next stop was a couple of other state parks, Laurel Hill and Kooser. 

Laurel Hill had all the stamps for both locations, which was actually a good deal, since the Kooser location was locked up-  so I wound up getting credit for all the stamps, even though Kooser was not open.  Score.

Last stop for the day was a visit to the Meyersdale Pa Train Station, where I got all the five stamps that were supposed to be there. 

Multiple National Trails Stop Revisit Fort Osage NHL Sibley, Mo.

I had been here before, think it was in the 2009 visit, but never got any stamps, so I rectified that today.  Got all the stamps that were there, missing one that had been retired, but got one that was in a drawer.  Pretty site, right on the Missouri River, where Lewis and Clark hung out. 

2 additional unit locations for Natchez Trace Parkway

Today, we traveled the section of the parkway from mile post 0 to Milepost 102- 

Got to three locations that had stamps, one of which was closed, due to sequestration. 

First stop was mm 89, the Clinton Miss Visitor Center-  just off the parkway-

Next was the Mississippi Craft Center in Ridgeland, Miss.  Pretty sure they have a stamp here so people will come to the center, since it isn't on the trail at all- 

 

The last stop on the trail today was the Ridgeland Information cabin, at the 102.4 mm, but due to sequestration, it was closed, and won't be open till Friday and Saturday, so I had to pass on it. 

Revisit to Natchez Trace Location - Mt Locust Inn Information Center

I had previously done the upper part of this trail, so today, we visited Natchez Mississippi, which is the southern terminus of the trail, which goes from Natchez to Nashville pretty much, about 440 miles or so.  We will be on the trail from Mile 0 to about Mile 103 or so, with 3 or 4 planned stops for stamps. 

Today, I visited the Mt Locust Inn Information Center which is at Mile Marker 15.5. 

The Inn was an old historic Inn on the Trace, and is still standing:

This is the tiny little Information Center, where there were 4 stamps, plus postcards, plus a hiking stick medallion.  They will be moving to a new information center in a week or so.
