This was another new area for me to visit, and I managed to get 7 stops in:
There are about 30 stops for this District, so I have a lot more to get.
On this trip, I stopped basically in Staunton, Winchester, and Harrisburg Virginia-
The H.R. Smith Museum, The Woodrow Wilson Library, The Winchester/Fredericksburg VC, The Va. Museum of the Civil War, The Crossroads Heritage Center, the Hardesty-Higgins House, and the Old Court House Museum of the Civil War. Missed several other planned stops-

And as well, Park #287, Prince William Forest Park, Dumfries Virginia
Got this park stamp and a Potomac Heritage one as well-
We stayed at the campground here, they've added nice big sites to the campground in the last year or so- expensive though...

Only once this trip for Potomac Heritage NST
I had originally planned to make 6 or 7 stops for this NST, but trip crushing towards the end prevented many stops- as it was, I only got one- at Prince William Forest Park and I only barely got that one, on the way down to meet up with Dalton at Quantico. Will try to concentrate on this trail on our next visit to the area.
Revisit to Manassas Battlefield Park Manassas Virginia
Barely squeaked this one in- I got to all three Visitor Centers, with about 10 minutes to spare before they closed for the day.
Journey Through Hollowed Ground NHC A New Area for me to Explore....
I was able to make my first 4 stops at this area- I had planned for many more, but we had to make several trip changes. I'll be re-exploring this area soon, promise- so much to see and do.
I got stamps at two locations: 3 stops at the Manassas NBPark, the Henry Hill VC, the Stone House, and Brawner Farm, and also at the Prince William Visitor Center in downtown Occoquan VA.

Blue Ridge Music Center, a spot on the Blue Ridge Parkway, Galax VA. June 24, 2014
After settling in at the Wal Mart, and making several stops in downtown Galax, I went on over to the Blue Ridge Music Center on the Parkway itself.
The GPS took me a goofy way to the Center, down a dirt road for nearly 2 miles, the "back way", but I managed to find it, in a misting rain. The Center is a fairly newer building dedicated to telling the history of Bluegrass and Mountain music, and does an excellent job. While I was there, there were two fellows playing for a very small crowd out in the building, would have liked to have sit in, but was on a schedule.
One of the interior displays:
Didn't know the Gibson company made banjos and mandolins.....
And, got the stamp

Park Revisit- Appomattox Courthouse NHP
Date of visit: Monday June 4, 2012
Had previously been here with Brandon I believe on a Maine trip, back in 2008.
Today, Cooper and I stopped in- Had 2 missing stamps to get, and an additional possible location for stamps, the bookstore.

Park 194- Booker T Washington National Monument
Date of visit: June 3, 2012
Cooper and I ran over here, which is the site of the original farm that Washington was born, as a slave. We watched a movie that told the story of his effort to educate himself, and rise above his standing. He later of course started the Tuskeegee Institute, to educate his fellow Blacks.
Got a postcard, a pin, a hiking medallion, and two other pins from the site.
I got the site stamp, but the 25th was not available, even though it had been confirmed a week before.
