Park 171 Saguaro National Park, East and West

Visited the Eastern and Western Divisions of this park over a two day period-  Yesterday, we went to the Rincon Mountain Visitor Center for Saguaro East-  a very nice VC, got a park stamp and a pin.

Today, drove over to the Red Hills Visitor Center, and went to Saguaro West-  this is a newer VC, and we saw a nice 14 minute slide show about the desert.

I also picked up a De Anza trail stamp here, and a bonus stamp of a Saguaro Cactus along with a 25th Anniversary stamp.
This park is about protecting the Saguaro Cactus, which is the symbol of the Southwest and the Deserts.  The park has been protecting the cactus since 1933.  Beautiful scenery, lots of hiking trails, and desert beauty.
